Why a tea party?

I wanted to make my favorite new year practices (a Year In Cards and Word of the Year) a little more special by hosting a tea party with purpose and inviting my community to join in the fun!

This event is all about looking into the unknown and unexpected (hence… through the looking glass) of 2025 to find guidance so you can make the most of the year ahead.

For the tea party portion, I’ll be offering a wide variety of teas to choose from and a sumptuous buffet of treats. Dress however you like and top it off with your favorite hat! Don’t have a hat, I’ll have a fun selection on hand you can borrow.

You’ll get to select one or two oracle/tarot decks (there are over 40 to choose from) and pull a card for each month of 2025. Be sure to bring a journal, pen and your phone so you can take photos of your cards.

Then I’ll lead you in a short guided meditation to find your Word of the Year. You’ll get a keepsake to write your word on and there will be art supplies on hand to decorate if you wish.

AGE: 15 and up, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult

SKILL: no skills necessary

WHAT I PROVIDE: tea, treats, over 30 tarot/oracle decks to play with, and a keepsake for your word of the year.

WHAT TO BRING: a tea party spirit, your favorite hat, a journal & pen, your phone for taking photos of your cards
