In Sanskrit, Mandala means circle and they have been used for centuries and throughout many cultures to discover inner peace and experience enlightenment.
In this workshop, we will learn about the sacred history of Mandalas, as well as the healing properties of creating them. I will teach an overview of Mandalas and how they have been utilized throughout history to create wholeness and allow individuals to gain wisdom by connecting to their higher Self.
After an understanding of the sacred art of Mandala making, I will demonstrate different drawing techniques including Zentangle patterns and provide you with examples.
We will start the creating process with a guided meditation, followed by the Mandala making process and students will be encouraged to use zentangle patterns or any form of self expression they wish to create their personal Mandala.
Students will be provided with a pre-drawn circle on a 9”x9” sheet of watercolor paper, pencils, pens and markers.
