Sound Bath & Qi Gong: A Special Outdoor Event

  • Ever Awakening - The Legacy Center 250 Jason Way Youngsville, NC, 27596 United States (map)

This month we are offering a special not-to-be-missed outdoor collaboration event with Sinead Corrigan!

We will begin the event with 45 minutes of gentle guided qigong practice (moving meditation, breathwork, & visualization) for calming the nervous system, releasing anxiety, and coming into a state of relaxation. Then, sink into deep rest with the soundhealer, Marnie Blum

What is QIGONG?

Qigong is translated as “cultivation of vitality.” Soft and gentle movements help to reset and reprogram the nervous system, while visualizations help to expand and brighten the mind.

Benefits of qigong:

*Activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest response)

* Reduces stress and anxiety

* Promotes quality sleep

* Balances the respiratory, digestive, endocrine, glandular and nervous systems

* Increases vital energy flow throughout cells, skin, organs, bones

* Releases self-limiting thoughts and behaviors & promotes self-affirming thoughts and positive emotions

* Restores “inner harmony” to mind/body system

After the qi gong, you’ll experience 45 minutes of sound bath, an inward meditative journey while you're enveloped in ambient sound. The harmonic notes at varying frequencies and vibrations wash over your body calming your nervous system and restoring emotional balance.

Music, sound and vibration have been used for its therapeutic healing effects for thousands of years. Studies haven proven that sound therapy can lower blood pressure, decrease pulse rate and assist in restoring the parasympathetic nervous system.

The sounds are created from a wide range of instruments with different frequencies including: 7 crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, Koshi chimes, solfeggio pipes, wind percussion chimes, a crystal pyramid, and gongs.
